Giveaway Day is here again! It's always such a pleasure to join in the fun with Sew, Mama, Sew! and the rest of the online sewing community. I'll try to keep it short since you've got lots of blogs to visit today. Here's what you need to know...
1. The Blog: If you visit my blog on a weekly basis, you're going to see projects and tutorials like those featured in the mosaic above. Click on any of the buttons to the left if you'd like to stay posted on what I'm making. I'd love to see you here again!
Photo courtesy of my dear friend Beth at Plum and June |
2. The Prize: My lovely friends at Fabricworm have donated two yards of Feather River by Jay-Cyn Designs for Birch Fabrics to share with one of you. I'm a huge fan of Birch's organic fabric, and this soon to be released collection is absolutely perfect for summer sewing projects! You can see the whole collection here at Fabricworm.
3. The Drawing: To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment below answering this question: What's your favorite kind of sew along: quilts? bags? small projects? sewing through a whole book? Followers, new and old, can leave an extra comment for a second entry. Please make sure that your email address is in your comment if you're a no-reply blogger. The giveaway is open internationally and will stay open until 5pm on Friday when I'll choose a random winner. If I don't hear from the first winner within 48 hours, I'll have to pick another name, so be sure to check your email this weekend!
Thanks so much for dropping by!
My favourite sew along is a FMQ sew along. I get a lot out of those and enjoy the interaction with fellow quilters. I am already a follower. Love the fresh look of that fabric.

ReplyDeleteI love quilt sew alongs, but I haven't really done any other sort. I keep getting sucked into them, and then I don't have time to start anything else! But that's not necessarily a bad thing! :)
ReplyDeleteI've followed you on bloglovin for a while! But I love quilt-alongs. It breaks the quilt into easy to manage sections without the cost of bom clubs.

ReplyDeleteI joined in the Zakka Style sew along and thoroughly enjoyed it (18/24 projects!), but it took up my entire sewing time for 6 months as I only get a bit of time at weekends. I joined in the And-Sew On quilt along last year and enjoyed that too, for me one block a month is more maneagable, so I'll say quilt alongs

ReplyDeleteI like to sew along on small projects.
ReplyDeleteI have never done a sewalong! If I did one it would probably be for a small project. Thanks for the chance :)

ReplyDeleteI don't tend to have time for sew alongs but I am hosting a BOM right now and I have taken part in them in the past too. I was tempted by the organiser pouch one with all the sections inside recently.
ReplyDeleteI love kids clothing sewalongs!
ReplyDeleteQuilts are what I have done, with varying success. I'm working on a quilt along right now that's a mini 12 patch with different themes each week. It's easy to finish each week and It's fun to try and figure it out.
ReplyDeleteAn old bloglovin follower here

My favorite kind of sew along: quilts or wall hangings. I like it to challenge me with a technique I haven't tried before.
ReplyDeleteI like the quilt and bag sew alongs....Sometimes I just don't want to devote time to a whole quilt and bags are always so fun and handy.
ReplyDeletejust in case: (m3reyna at gmail dot com)
I've never done a sew-along but I'd probably pick one that worked all the way through a book if I did decide to do one. I remember doing that in a couple classes in school and I always felt very accomplished when I was able to close the book and know I could complete everything in it.
ReplyDeleteI love mystery quilt alongs! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI am a bloglovin follower.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that fabric!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm new to sew-alongs, so I'm a fan of smaller projects. I work full-time and have a kid, so my sewing time is very limited and it can be hard to sew-along with larger projects (although I'm participating in an open-ended one now!)
Small projects sew alongs are my preference
ReplyDeletemy favorite sew along is small projects
ReplyDeleteSew along through a book or a quilt are my favorites. I love to follow along even if I sometimes can't keep up with them. Thanks! Great tutorials and projects!

ReplyDeleteI love to follow quilt sew-alongside but don't often participate because of time commitments. I like bag sew-alongside since they are usually a little faster. I only have a few hours/week to sew and I can usually finish a bag in that time.
ReplyDeleteSew-alongside? Love autocorrect :-)
DeleteI don't really have a favorite yet, I love to try something new (usually with new technique I've never done before), and currently I'm into sewing fruity cushions/plushies ;)
