Introducing...My Book

Sew Organized for the Busy Girl by Heidi Staples for C&T Publishing

Oh, you guys...I can't believe the day has finally come when I can write this post! I've been working on this project officially since summer 2013, but it's been on my mental radar since the end of 2012. It's an absolute joy to present you with my book: Sew Organized for the Busy Girl, due out in March of next year. It's already available for pre-order on Amazon and C&T Publishing (where you can see some project pictures too!)..and yes, I'll admit that I check those sites once in a while to remind myself that this is all actually happening!

I've always tried to be real with you here, and I want to keep it that way. I wouldn't have written this book if I didn't hope that someone would read it, so I'll be sharing some projects and ideas from it in the coming year. However, I am not going to beat you over the head with my book from morning till night. It's really important to me that I keep this a place where I chat with you about what I'm sewing and how it all fits into daily life...and honestly, Sew Organized is just an extension of that. I wrote it for all of you out there who, like me, are struggling to fit sewing time into your busy schedule. If there's anything special you'd like to know about it or would like to see in a book tour, feel free to let me know in the comments below, and I'll do my best to work it in. I really want this to be actually helpful to you!

But the details will keep for now. I'm off to celebrate with a little happy time at the sewing table...

  5. Okay, first huge CONGRATS Heidi!! I'm so excited for you! This is absolutely the top of my must have book list! The sneak peeks look amazing, and the projects... wow! You know how i feel about all your work, so i will eagerly be awaiting my chance to make every single thing in this book!
Cannot wait for the tour?/blog hop?!!! I love seeing other people versions of the same thing, sometimes you see something in a certain fabric and think that it looks amazing and can only picture it in that one fabric, then to see it in a different fabric turns it into a whole new thing, dealie, whatchamacallit. Very eloquent, i know... this is why i have no plans on writing a book, I'll leave that to the professionals :) Congrats again Heidi, this is so awesome!

  6. Congratulations, Heidi! I remember finding your blog when we were both on Plum and June's beginning blogger blog hop. And now you're a published author! That's pretty dang cool.

I love the cover art! I can't wait to see what's inside--by all means beat us over the head with it!

  8. Congrats! I personally really appreciate detailed posts with lots of photos when new books come out. I really don't feel you can over share. In lieu of seeing a book in person before purchasing, it is so helpful to know what it's really about/what projects are in it. I don't think sites like Amazon do a great job at featuring the right pages in their "look inside" and often all you get a preview of is the index and basic sewing instructions instead of the meat of the book! Share away!

  25. Wonderful news! It looks like a book for me too, I have far too many things happening each day. I like book tours where the people actually have read the book and made their own review or personal comment about the book, maybe tried a project and can show some progress.

  26. Congrats! And thanks for keeping it real. Feels like so many blogs turned book deals are all of a sudden only about the book. Can't wait to see your book!
